Since 2023, a simulation centre has been established on the basis of the department, which has made it possible to conduct practical training at a higher level. The simulation centre has moulages simulating different segments of the limbs and spine, fixators used in osteosynthesis and a set of instruments for their installation, as well as equipment used in endoscopic surgery.

In 2023, a representative of the company "DKSORTHO & SHARMA PHARMACEUTICAL PVT.LTD" INDIA visited the department and a memorandum of co-operation was signed. This company is engaged in production of various fixators and devices used in the field of traumatology and orthopaedics. Between the representative of the company and the staff of the department there was a conversation about assistance in equipping the simulation centre of the department.

Professor Dirk Stengel from Germany visited Uzbekistan with the aim of improving the cooperation relations between Uzbekistan and Germany in the field of medicine and raising it to a new level. The professor gave a lecture on German medical system and trauma care, which are unique to Germany and in what areas cooperation can be carried out. After the lecture, the Head of the Department of Traumatology and Orthopaedics of CRPKMR Professor Irismetov M.E. and Professor Dirk Stengel held talks on possible co-operation between the clinics.

In August 2023, the assistant of the department B.O. Kholmatova defended his candidate's thesis, which contributed to the increase of the scientific potential of the department.
