The Department of Scientific and Methodological Support for the Educational Process was established based on the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 4, 2017, "On additional measures to improve the qualification of medical personnel and enhance the system of their retraining" PP No. -174, Order No. 222 of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 12, 2017, and Order No. 31 of the Rector of TIPME dated May 17, 2017.

Based on the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 7, 2020, "On measures to introduce a completely new system of personnel training and continuous professional development in the healthcare sector" PP-4666, the department was renamed to "Department for the Development of Educational Programs and Regulatory and Procedural Guidelines".

Information about the activity of the department:

• it develops new educational programs, regulatory and procedural guidelines for the structuring continuous medical education process structuring.
• it participates in the development, improvement and implementation of the scientific and methodological support of the regulatory and legal framework of the educational process.
• it provides the necessary organizational and technical support for the effective operation of the Central Organizational and Methodological Council (COMC) in Center for the Development of professional qualifications of medical workers.
