Department history

Since 2000, the department of information technologies has been operating effectively at CDPQMW (ToshVMOI). Today 2 employees are working in the department.

 

The main task of the department to:

  • install network software on servers and workstations;
  • configure the system on the server;
  • provides software integration on file servers, database management system servers and workstations;
  • ensure the working condition of server software and workstations, provides server maintenance;
  • register users, assigns IDs and passwords;
  • teach users to work on the network, maintain archives;
  • answer user questions about the network;
  • create instructions for working with network software and brings them to the attention of users;
  • control the use of network resources;
  • organize access to local and global networks;
  • set the following restrictions for users:
  • use a workstation or server;
  • ensure timely copying and backup of data;
  • refer to technical staff when identifying failures in network equipment;
  • participate in the restoration of system performance in case of failure of network equipment;
  • detect errors in user and network software and restores system performance;
  • conduct network monitoring, develops proposals for the development of network infrastructure;
  • provide: network security (protection against unauthorized access to information, viewing or changing system files and data);
  • secure of interaction;
  • prepare proposals for modernization and purchase of network equipment;
  • supervise the installation of equipment by specialists of third-party organizations;
  • inform his direct manager about cases of network abuse and the measures taken;
  • keep a log of system data and other technical documents;
  • control the correct operation of the existing computer technology programs in the center;
  • organize of maintenance and repair of computers;
  • monitor the work of computer operators;
  • increase the central computer stock with modern computers and improving existing computers;
  • monitor the functioning of the center's Internet networks, G-mail, e-mail, the center's main educational system, electronic dean's services at the level of demand, monitoring the timely reception and distribution of messages and news;
  • lead all distance learning activities of the center and to establish relations with local and foreign higher educational institutions on the organization of distance learning;
  • enter and analyze total information on the portal to the local network of the center;
