In the period 2021-2024, 812 students were trained at the department in thematic and general educational advanced training cycles. In accordance with the calendar plan, 14 educational programs are being implemented at the Department of Otolaryngology. Currently, the teaching staff of the department consists of 10 qualified employees, at a rate of 1.75 - budgetary and 1.25 - business accounting, and management of clinical residents - 3.25, which in total is 6.75 full-time units. The department staff carries out medical activities in the following clinical bases: Multidisciplinary Clinic of Center for the development of professional qualification of medical workers, Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Diseases, City Children's Surgical Clinical Hospital No. 2, PROFMED SERVIS, SHIFO-ZIYO PLUS, SHOKHRUH BIZNES PLUS LLC, private clinics SOGLOM OILA, SAYFULLOH OTA SHIFO, central and family clinics of Yunusabad district. The department staff takes an active part in regularly organized medical consultations and diagnostic examinations in orphanages, special schools and boarding schools. The department conducts general clinical and thematic advanced training courses for doctors. Otolaryngologists, audiologists and phoniatrists are trained on the basis of specialized training programs, and otolaryngologists - through clinical residency. Currently, more than 80 clinical residents are studying at the department. Clinical residents effectively and productively use the library created in the CDPQMW to improve their theoretical knowledge. Every month, the Department of Otolaryngology holds days of propaganda of a healthy lifestyle among the younger generation with the participation of clinical residents and their supervisors. Leading clinical residents take part in scientific conferences organized abroad.
In order to improve scientific competence, the staff of the Department of Otolaryngology work on scientific articles and dissertations, monographs, electronic textbooks, methodological recommendations and manuals. In addition, the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel is carried out through the system of basic doctoral studies and independent researchers.
Conferences and scientific and practical meetings are regularly organized together with the Department of Otolaryngology of the CDPQMW.
