In the Republican specialized Pediatric Scientific and Practical Medical Center, where the department is located, all conditions have been created for the training of qualified doctors. The practical and professional skills of the cadets are practiced in the following departments of early childhood, cardiology, neurology, pulmonology, allergology, gastroenterology, hepatology, intensive care, nephrology, neonatology, in the diagnostic advisory clinic, rehabilitation and clinical and biochemical laboratory departments.
The scientific direction of the department is “Peculiarities of the formation and course of allergy to cow's milk proteins in combination with lactase deficiency in young children“.
The department has developed new training programs for 504, 864, 144, 72, 36 hours in each area of pediatrics for training, retraining and advanced training of specialists in this field, distance learning based on the Moodle platform has been organized and implemented at the department.
With extensive experience in teaching and research, the staff of the department is well-versed in the world of medical information, selecting the most useful and necessary for doctors. Employees clearly understand that international experience is an undeniable advantage in training modern specialists, so all innovative findings are actively introduced into the educational process or work practice. Moreover, cadets are trained not only to apply new technologies and methods, but also to be able to correctly analyze the development of medicine, to give a comprehensive assessment of the health status of the population.
Over the past 5 years, more than 1,5 thousand doctors have been trained at the department.
The department conducts lectures in all areas of pediatrics: general pediatrics, diseases of young and older children, issues of pediatric gastroenterology, pulmonology, cardiology, rational nutrition of children.
Over the past 3 years, the department has trained more than 50 clinical residents
The staff of the department organically combines practical and theoretical activities with scientific ones. The main areas of research are devoted to pediatrics and pediatric gastroenterology. The results of the study are immediately reflected in the educational process and practical activities of pediatricians of the republic, in publications of domestic and foreign periodicals, and are the basis for the protection of scientific degrees.
The main task of the department is to provide doctors with all new methods and technologies emerging in the world of pediatric practice.
The department cooperates with research, educational, and medical organizations: WHO Regional Office, RMANPO, UNICEF, U-REPORT, FGAU "NMIC OF CHILDREN'S HEALTH " of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, RSNPC, Ministry of National and Preschool Education.
72 credit thematic improvements were repeatedly carried out to pediatricians from Tajikistan, according to an agreement between the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan
The staff of the department actively participates in the organization of all scientific and practical conferences.
On June 5-6, 2023, the department organized a 12–credit educational and practical seminar for pediatricians on the topic "Programming nutrition and infant health" with the participation of Professor I.N. Zakharova, Head of the Department of Pediatrics of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences.
On September 6-27, 2023, the department organized the International Congress "Pediatrics without Borders – 2023” with the participation of delegates from 10 countries
