The Department of Functional Diagnostics was created in 2008. Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Gulnora Khabibovna Yarmukhamedova headed the department for 12 years (2008-2020). Under his leadership, a course of functional diagnostics, including for children, was created. During the years of his leadership of the department, more than 500 qualified doctors of functional diagnostics were trained, and for the first time in the Republic of Uzbekistan, long-term cycles of echocardiography were organized.

 Gulnara Khabibovna was the chief expert consultant on PD of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a member of the clinical, laboratory and certification commission on PD of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan. During these same years, associate professors Irmukhamedov A.G., Shaykhov E.D., Zhitnitskaya A.E. worked at the Department of Cardiology and Functional Diagnostics. and generously shared their clinical and pedagogical experience.
