Arifov S.S. has published more than 500 scientific articles, including 25 monographs, 9 patents and information letters, 50 methodological manuals and recommendations. He was the first to publish in Uzbek for students of medical institutes the textbook "Teri va tanosil kasalliklari" (2007) and the manual-textbook for dermatovenerologists "Teri va tanosil kasalliklari" (2010). In 2008, he prepared and published the atlas "Clinical dermatology and venereology" (2008). are a reference book for dermatovenerologists and cosmetologists from outside our Republic and the CIS countries. Under the guidance of S.S. Arifov, 18 candidates of medical sciences and 8 doctoral dissertations were prepared. He led and successfully completed a number of republican and foreign scientific grandees (SCST, WHO, UNDP and Oliy Majlis).

Professional experience:

In 1991-1994, he worked at the Research Institute of Dermatovenereology of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan as the head of the Department of Dermatology and the head of the Department of Dermatology. In 1994, he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic "The role of individual characteristics of the body in the clinical course, pathogenesis of vitiligo and the development of a comprehensive method of treatment". From 1999 to 2012, S.S. Arifov worked as Deputy Director for Science of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Dermatovenereology

He improved his skills in dermatovenereology clinics in Moscow and participated in several international congresses (Portugal in 1996, France in 2000, Switzerland in 2002, France in 2008, Berlin in 2009, Gothenburg in 2010, Seoul in 2011, Athens in 2013). He is also the organizer and participant of international and national scientific conferences held in the country.

In 2018, he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic "Development of new methods for the diagnosis and therapy of non-scarring forms of alopecia based on the study of molecular genetic factors".
