Department history

HISTORY OF THE ULTRASOUND DIAGNOSTICS DEPARTMENT NO. 2, CENTER FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF MEDICAL WORKERS

In 1990, an ultrasound diagnostics course was established within the Department of Oncology. Under the leadership of A.A. Fazylov, the department prepared 10 doctors of medical sciences and 45 candidates of medical sciences.

Over the years, the department has been staffed by esteemed professors, associate professors, and assistants, including:
Kamilov K.K., Nasyrov A.N., Mirakhmedov Kh.Sh., Dusmuratov A.M., Ismailova L.Kh., Jabbarov M.D., Samatov T.S., and Ilyasov Sh.Sh.

Until 2015, the ultrasound diagnostics course was led by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Mukharam Akhatovna Isamukhamedova, who also served as the Chief Ultrasound Specialist for the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan. During her tenure, 9 candidates of medical sciences and 1 doctor of medical sciences were trained.

From 2015 to 2022, the course was headed by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Yashnar Mamadalieva.
In 2022, the course evolved into an independent department, "Ultrasound Diagnostics No. 2." Currently, the head of the department is Professor Mamadalieva Y.S.
