In 1967, under the leadership of Professor K.S. Malikov, the Department of Dentistry was first created. Professor K.S. Malikov headed the created department until 1996.

From 1996 to 2007, the department was headed by Associate Professor S.R. Tilyakhodjaev.

In 2007, Professor S.S. Agzamkhodjaev was elected as the head of the department.

From 2016 to 2017, the department was headed by Professor Zh.A. Rizaev.

Since 2017, the department has been headed by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor S.A. Gafforov.
