In March 2004, by the decision of the Scientific Council of the institute, the Department of "Neurorehabilitation and Reflexotherapy" was established, with Dr. Elbek Mirjuraev, Professor of Medical Sciences, appointed as the head of the department. In 2006, the department was expanded and reorganized as the Department of "Neurological Diseases with a Course in Traditional Medicine." The department staff included 1 professor, 3 associate professors, and 4 assistants. Starting from 2021, the department was restructured into independent Department of "Neurorehabilitation" and the Course of "Traditional Medicine." During this period, the department was equipped with computer hardware and diagnostic equipment, and classes were organized using modern educational technologies for courses in neurology and functional diagnostic methods. The department's staff prepared 9 monographs, more than 60 methodological recommendations and manuals, and published over 275 scientific articles and abstracts. The Department of "Neurorehabilitation" is located on the clinical bases of two neurological departments (60 beds) at the City Clinical Hospital No. 1 of Tashkent and the National Center for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled (50 neurorehabilitation beds), as well as the "Neurohelp" Medical Center.
