On June 16, 2025, a 36-credit training cycle was organized at the Center for Continuing Professional Development of Medical Workers in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization (WHO). The program, based on the approved curriculum titled “Procedures for Diagnosis and Medical Documentation According to the 11th Revision of the International Statistical Classification of Diseases (ICD-11),” is aimed at training trainer-instructors from among the Center’s academic staff.
The event was organized in accordance with the order of the Center’s director, Professor X.A. Akilov.
The training program dedicated to the procedures for diagnosis and medical documentation based on the 11th revision of the International Statistical Classification of Diseases (ICD-11) is a highly relevant educational resource developed within the framework of the global transition of the healthcare system to the updated international classification. The implementation of ICD-11 is a significant step in modernizing information processes in the medical field, including diagnosis, coding, medical statistics, and healthcare management systems. In this regard, the program holds strategic importance in training specialists capable of effectively operating under the new regulatory and informational conditions.
The first lecture on the topic "International Statistical Classification of Diseases: Past, Present, and Future" was delivered by Professor B.A. Magrupov, Dean of the Faculty of Management, Social and Primary Health Care.
Deputy Director for Academic Affairs, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Munirakhon Sodiqjonovna Qosimova emphasized the importance of this training course for improving the qualifications of medical personnel and for the implementation of modern approaches in education and medical practice.
