KAMILOV KHALIDJAN MAKHAMADJANOVICH
Khalidjan Makhamadjanovich Kamilov is a Hero of Uzbekistan, Doctor of medical sciences, Professor, Head of the department of Ophthalmology.
Kh.M. Kamilov graduated from Tashkent State Medical Institute in 1968. From 1988 to the present, he has been working as the head of the ophthalmology department of the Center for the Development of Professional Qualifications of Medical Workers. He makes a great contribution to the development of neuro-ophthalmology, eye microsurgery and other scientific areas relevant in ophthalmology. Under his direct participation and leadership, new, modern scientific and technical complexes and medicines are put into practice in the diagnosis of various diseases of the organs of vision, treatment with conservative and microsurgical methods.
An experienced ophthalmologist is the author of more than 770 scientific papers, including 8 monographs, 10 author's licenses, 10 patents and 38 manuals. 7 doctors of medical sciences and 39 candidates of medical sciences and PhDs were trained under the leadership of Professor Kh.M. Kamilov. Kh.M. Kamilov regularly improves his skills. He is responsible for treatment-and-consultation work in medical-sanitary associations under the presidential office. The Department of Ophthalmology headed by him is a training center for all doctors-ophthalmologists of our Republic. He is a member of the Scientific and Medical Council under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as chairman of the Scientific Society of Ophthalmologists of the Republic, and also a member of the scientific and problem councils of the scientific and surgical faculty councils of the CDPQMW.
He is also an academician of the Academy of Medical and Technical Sciences of the Russian Federation, an honorary academician of the Aitmatov Academy of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In 2006, H.M. Kamilov was awarded the Order of "Mekhnat Shukhrati" for his services to the welfare and health of the people, and in 2012 the high title "Hero of Uzbekistan", with the "Golden Star" medal, in 2016 the commemorative badge "25 years of Uzbekistan's independence", In 2017, he was awarded the commemorative medal "25 years to the Constitution of Uzbekistan", and in 2023, he was awarded the first class "Veteran of Labor" badge.
